the whisk demo speedrunners competition

We're hosting a speedrunning competition for each of the nine stages in the Whisk Demo, with prizes sponsored by Logitech! Free to enter during Steam Next Fest February 2026: February 23rd 9am PST to March 2nd 11:59pm PST.

Whisk is a two player game, and so the prizes are awarded based on duos (two player teams).

1st place

each duo who has the 1st place time on any of the 9 stages will win their respective stage's competition. each player in the duo will receive:

Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse (in a random color between black, blue, or lilac)
Logitech G440 Hard Gaming Mouse Pad
a Whisk Steam key, that will grant the game upon release
an exclusive discord role for the stage they won

2nd - 10th place random prizes

every person will get one entry for every 2-10th place position they have. each prize will go to a person who hasn't won a prize yet. there will be 20 random winners:

they will each receive an exclusive discord role, and randomly get: a Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse (in a random color between black, blue, or lilac) and a Logitech G440 Hard Gaming Mouse Pad (quantity 10)

*This was changed from per duo to individual so that players who partnered with someone who already had prizes were not punished.

how to submit runs

Each player must be registered on the Whisk Hub
The run must be submitted and approved by moderators on speedrun.com/Whisk_demo
(Runs must be submitted before the deadline, but it is ok if they get approved afterwards.)
Each player must fill out the Prize Registration Form

We will contact and announce the winners in the weeks after!

rules for runs

Individual level times go off of In-game time! All times must be submitted to speedrun.com.
The Speed Indicator must be enabled in the settings so that character speed is visible at all times.
Frame rate manipulation is not allowed.
The run video must be one continuous recording. Runs must include game Audio and remain at or over 30FPS.
Both users’ perspectives are required for submission. Videos may be stitched together or submitted separately.
Show at least 5 seconds before the start and 5 seconds after the end.
Runs must be performed on vanilla game versions with no modifications.
Avoid utilizing physics glitches to force the cat to accelerate. This may disqualify the run at the Speedrun.com mods' discretion.
No macros, auto-clickers, or other external tools.
Use of 3rd party applications will result in you being pulled from the competition. These are however allowed for testing while routing.

Prizes have no cash equivalent and are non-transferable. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, and shipping requirements.
